Stuhrling Original Sniper Men’s Quartz Watch 879.03 Review.
Hello everyone, today I’m doing a Stuhrling Original 879.03 review. I’ve enjoyed taking a look at the Stuhrling brand as a whole in the past, one of my more popular posts that Stuhrling shared was my top 7 Stuhrling watches for men, if you get a chance do give it a read as this watch featured in it as well.

My Initial Thoughts On This Watch
From the get go you can see this impressive brushed steel floating effect dial that looks pretty impressive. It keeps to a rather modest minimalist style past that, avoiding hour markers, more aimed at someone who doesn’t care for the exact time.
The watch elegantly houses a Swiss quartz movement that means the watch keeps accurate time.
Stuhrling manage to offer these impressive Swiss manufactured watches at an extremely affordable price for the every day watch wearer. Their company has roots back to the 1800’s when Switzerland was first emerging as one of the global leaders in watchmaking.
Type of glass
Most Stuhrling watches utilize Krysterna Crystal on their window display. This is more scratch resistant than standard hardened mineral glass that you would often find in this price range, and more shatter resistant the sapphire glass. It’s actually an impressive piece of work and I can understand why they use it for their watches.
Size
The watch boasts a large 42mm casing with a thickness of 10mm. 42mm tends to be the standard size you see in a lot of popular watches at the moment, moving away from the traditional 38mm sizing.
I’m a fan of the 42mm cases and it tends to be the minimum size that I would go for these days. 10mm is also something I’m happy with when it comes to the thickness and it’s not too thin, nor too thick.
Calendar
Obviously as you can imagine, there isn’t really any space to fit in a date feature so this watch does lack that, however that’s the design and It wouldn’t work with a date feature. I don’t think it’s something that will be missed here if I’m honest.
Watch strap and clasp
The Stuhrling 879.03 features a thick durable rubber strap that looks smart and fastens with a standard buckle clasp. It looks nice and fits in with this almost military feel of the watch with it’s brushed steel effect.

Conclusion
Overall this is a very nice and exceptionally affordable quality time piece. I do really like the Sturhling brand and this is one of my favourites from this series. If you’re after something a bit different that you could also show off among your peers, do give this watch some time and consideration, it’s well worth it.
