Slow Jo 17 Review Men’s Watch

My rating: 8.5/10. Great watch. One Hand Design.

Today I’m doing an Slow Jo 17 review. Slow Jo have taken a different route with their timepieces, instead of focusing on showing every possible second, they’ve taken a step back with the idea that you don’t need to be that precise, forget about the minutes and enjoy the moment.

Let’s take a look at the Slow Jo 17 in more detail below.

At the bottom of the article, I’ll show you some of my recommended places to buy this watch from

The concept of this watch is pretty interesting, it uses one hand that rotates once every 24 hours, it moves at half the speed of a normal watch. So with just an hour hand how do you go about telling the time? Well, each index on the dial actually represents 15 minutes, so if you wanted you can actually get a fairly precise time down to +-1-2 minutes.

I really like the way the hand slowly flows around the dial, rather than a jump from one index to the next. The Slow Jo uses a Swiss 24h movement, the Ronda 505.24 which actually makes it a very accurate timepiece.

The front of the watch uses a slightly raised extra hardened mineral glass known as K1. This raised design gives the watch a vintage look to it. A nice little benefit they’ve also added is an antireflective coating on the glass which is something you often find on pricier watches.

Overall I feel the design of the watch is rather stunning, what started off as a smaller brand of watch is surely going to grow to become an extremely popular watch brand. They have a premium quality to them and you can tell that care and attention has been put into the design. I love the idea behind the 24h time and I’m a big fan of the flowing movements.

My Final Thoughts On This Slow Jo 17 Review:

The Slow Jo 17 looks great, and the concept is really interesting. To be honest I think they’ve implemented their idea beautifully and it’s nice to see something different like this. With a Swiss movement, anti reflective hardened glass, and a 100m water resistance, the watch is also very good quality.

If you’re after something a bit more minimalist and aren’t fussed about loosing your minute display, I highly recommend checking out Slow Jo watches.

After taking everything into account, such as design, build quality and price, this watch received a well deserved 8.5/10 from The Watch Blog.
