Watch Review
I really love these open heart dial designs that these Rotary skeleton watches have. It allows you to take a look at the inner workings of the watch and this particular design showcases a lot of the movement. The Roman numerals on the outer rim are quite small, but they had to be to give the watch that larger exposure of the mechanism, overall a design choice that I’m very happy with. The hands are fairly simple with a slim black ornate design, nothing too fancy, but It’s nice.
Type Of Crystal
Protecting the front and rear of the watch is a specially hardened mineral crystal glass. This glass gives you a good level of scratch and knock resistance, as well as offering a better level of shatter resistance than sapphire glass. It’s what I expect to find at this price level so I’m quite happy with this.
Watch Movement
At the heart of the watch is this stunning Japanese automatic movement. The automatic movement is powered by the movement of the wearer’s wrist and never requires a battery.
Watch Size
When it comes to the sizing specifications, everything is fairly standard for a men’s watch. The watch casing diameter measures 42mm and has a thickness of 10mm. This is a standard size for a large men’s watch and is likely to suit most people to be honest.
Strap
The strap has a width of 20mm and is made of a genuine leather that’s soft and comfortable. It’s a dark tan colour and fastens with a typical buckle style clasp. You can get a better look of this in the image below.
Extra features
One of my favourite aspects of this watch is the exhibition style caseback, this lets you take a look at the inner workings of the watch and its automatic movement. As you’ll see in the picture below, it’s a pretty impressive movement to view.
Water Resistance Rating
This watch has a water resist rating of 100m. A rating of 100m / 10 Bar / 300ft makes this watch suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports.

My Final Thoughts On This Rotary GS02521/06 Review:
The Rotary GS02521/06 has an awesome automatic movement on show with its open heart dial design. As with many of the other Rotary watches, I’m a big fan of this type of design. Overall it’s another brilliantly made timepiece as I’ve come to expect from Rotary.
