Hello, today I’m doing a Rotary GS00653/21 review. I recently wrote an article on the 10 best Rotary Skeleton watches for men and promised I’d take a closer look at each one of the watches featured in that list. Today we’re taking a look at the GS00342/06 as it’s next on my list to complete. Having seen quite a few of Rotary’s skeleton watches I’m already aware this is going to be a decent timepiece, I wouldn’t expect anything less from Rotary.

Watch Review
A key aspect of this watches’ design is the impressive open heart skeleton design that allows you to take a look at the inner workings of the watch. This is brilliantly complemented by the rose gold casing and blue accenting of the hands and hour markers. The overall finish is a luxury finish with an affordable price tag.
Type Of Crystal
For the front and rear glass we have a specially hardened mineral crystal glass. This is designed to be extra resistant to scratches and knocks, as well as having a higher shatter tolerance. It’s exactly what I’d expect to find on a watch in this price range so I’m quite happy with this.
Watch Movement
Powering the watch is a rather nice looking jewelled automatic movement. You can actually view the movement through the open dial design, or via the exhibition caseback of the watch, this is a feature I’ve always been a fan of. Automatic watches are great as they never require batteries as they power themselves from the movement of the wearer’s wrist.
Watch Size
The casing diameter of the watch measures 41mm and has a thickness of 11mm. This is all fairly standard sizing for men’s watches these days so should suit most people quite happily.
Strap
The strap is a dark tan colour and made of a soft genuine leather. The strap itself measures 20mm wide and fastens with a stand buckle style clasp that has the same PVD rose gold plating as the case. You can see a picture of the strap further below.
Extra features
One of my favourite features of this timepiece is the exhibition caseback. It allows you to take a closer look at the inner workings of the mechanical movement through the rear casing of the watch.
Water Resistance Rating
This watch has a water resist rating of 50m. A rating of 50m / 5 Bar / 150ft makes this watch suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports.

The Rotary GS00653/21 is another stunning timepiece that I’d be more than happy to keep in my personal collection. I’ve always been fond of Rotary watches and their selection of skeleton timepieces is really impressive. Definitely one for you to consider here.
