Hello, today I’m doing a Mudder Sports Watch review. This is a little bit different to my normal watch reviews, I wouldn’t often waste my time on a model like this, but they seem to have become quite popular. This is what you would call a generic OEM sports watch. Meaning any company can buy them, and put their brand name on it. For this instance we’re looking at the Mudder version, but it’s no different to the same watch from Civo, apart from the brand name on the top.

Mudder Sports Watch Review
It’s actually quite interesting to look at a watch like this. It features this large digital display that’s quite clearly lit and very easy to read with its enlarged digital numbers. The watch itself has quite an oversized design with the 47mm casing diameter. The case is made of a plastic resin and features 4 buttons for ease of use, with a light, mode, start, and reset option.
Type Of Crystal
Protecting the front of the watch is a mineral crystal glass. Mineral glass is specially hardened to offer a better resistance to scratches and knocks.
Watch Movement
At the heart of the watch is a Japanese quartz movement. This is a reliable and accurate movement that powers the digital screen. They require very little in the way of maintenance and the battery can be expected to last around 3 years.
Watch Size
I mentioned earlier on that this is what I would class as an oversized digital watch. The casing diameter measures 47mm and has a thickness of 14mm. This makes it a little chunky but not too over the top like you find in some of the bigger G-Shock watches from Casio. With it’s larger design, it may not be so suitable for people with smaller wrists.
Strap
This watch features a thick sturdy rubber strap that’s 22mm wide making it perfect for this type of larger watch. The strap fastens with a buckle style clasp, the buckle is actually made of stainless steel too.
Extra Features
This digital watch has a couple of extra features you may find useful. There’s a daily alarm function, 12/24 hour display, auto calendar, 1/100 second chronograph, and a backlight for easier reading in dim lit conditions.
Water Resistance Rating
This model has a 50m water resistance rating that’s pretty good considering the price. 50m or 5 bar makes this watch suitable for swimming, white water rafting, non-snorkeling water related work, and fishing.

My Final Thoughts On This Mudder Sports Watch Review:
Overall it’s not a bad watch, you get your monies worth really. It’s an affordable, cheap, generic watch that’s available under quite a few different brand names. If you’re after a oversized digital watch for day to day wear that you perhaps don’t mind getting damaged, then this is perfect. It’s actually a hugely popular watch to be fair, due to the pricing and value for money I would say.

For refereeing purposes it would be good to know if the watch can be set to count down from 40, 35 30 25 or 7 minutes (depending on the match type) and then give a vibrating alarm (not an audible one)?
