Invicta Men’s Watch 6986 Review.
Hello, today I’m doing a Invicta 6986 review. Some people love the Invicta brand, others aren’t so fond, and that argument has been going on for years! However, I rather like these medium priced models and today I’m taking a look at the 6986 which is part of their Pro Diver series.

My Initial Thoughts On This Watch
If you’re after a bold looking, durable timepiece, then Invicta really do excel in this area. They have this great range of oversized watches that has gained quite the following. Some people don’t like Invicta however, I rather like these chunky watches with that weighty, quality feel so I’m more than happy with this one.
The design of this one is quite interesting, I think the tightly packed chronograph sub dials looks really neat, and that semi-exposed date display is a really interesting feature. There’s also a good use of lume on the watch hands and hour markers, making it easy to read in dim lit conditions. Overall this should be a good watch to take a closer look into.
Movement
The watch uses a Swiss Quartz chronograph movement that’s known for being extremely reliable and accurate, whilst requiring very little in the way of maintenance. It’s a Ronda 5040.D for those who’d like to look it up in mode detail. Chronograph functions with 60 second, 30 minute and 1/10th of a second subdials, and date function.
Type of glass
It’s quite common to see a mineral style glass in this price range, and that’s exactly what we find with this Invicta watch. Mineral glass is specially hardened to be resistant to scratches and knocks, due to its relatively low cost it’s common to find it in watches in this price range and below.
Size
The watch is big, and when I say big, I mean it. The casing diameter is 48mm which makes this a very oversized watch. It’s also very chunky with a 17mm thickness which really makes the watch stand out on your wrist. Due to it being a very large watch, it does come with a bit of extra weight, so if you don’t like heavier watches, this won’t be for you.
Calendar
I think the date is displayed in quite a clever way with this semi-exposed dial design. It’s still a fairly simple date model that will be required to be adjusted for the varying amount of days in each month.
Watch strap and clasp
To fit in with the oversized design of the rest of the watch, we have this thick rubber strap that’s 26mm wide. The rubber strap is comfortable and perfect for water. To fasten the strap you have a standard buckle clasp that’s simple and easy to use.
Water Resistance:
The water resistance rating is a modest 100m, or 10ATM. 100m water resistance makes it suitable for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports. For the best divers watch check out this list.

Conclusion
Overall I’d say this is a pretty impressive looking oversized timepiece from Invicta. The Pro Diver series seems to be one of the go-to selection of watches for Invicta fans and I can agree with them on that one. I’d give it a 7.5/10 when it comes to value for money, you could definitely get a better watch for less in terms of parts, but it’s unlikely to have the same presence as the Invicta brand achieves.
I Hope you found this Invicta 6986 review useful and enjoyable, comment below and let me know what you think of it.
