Emporio Armani Ceramica Men’s Watch AR1452 Review.

Today I’m taking the time to do a Emporio Armani AR1452 review. I’m back on the Armani watch review path after taking a couple of days off. This one is part of their ceramic series which have been very popular since their introduction. Emporio Armani watches are possibly some of the best selling affordable watches for men. They’re are designer brand more than anything else but they do make some stunning looking watches.

My Initial Thoughts On This Watch

As you’d expect from some of the most popular Armani watches this is a very stylish design and is pretty impressive with it’s all black finish. Now any sensible person should be well aware all black watches don’t make the best watches for when it’s dark, don’t expect to be reading this easily in dim lit conditions. That being said it’s really a designer watch more aimed at the style concious. It’s going to go quite well with most outfits and the all black does look very smart.

Type of glass

As I was expecting from this Emporio Armani it features a hardened mineral glass front. Most of the Armani range have this same glass. It’s not until you get quite a bit more expensive that you start seeing a sapphire glass. The mineral glass is specially hardened to resist most scratches and some other scratches can usually be buffed out. Mineral glass is what I’ve come to expect from this series so I’m quite happy with it to be honest.

Size

The diameter of the casing is 43mm which is near enough the new standard for men’s watches even though it’s classed as large. The thickness of the casing is 13mm which is also classed as large. Don’t get me wrong though, don’t go seeing the words large and think this is some oversized watch. If you have other watches it’s probably a very similar size to what you already have.

Calendar

As we have come to realise, most of the Armani range have a similar standard date display between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions. Having reviewed quite a few of the Armani watches this is what I’ve come to expect and I don’t think any people who are buying these for the designer watch purposes are too fussed about getting anything more than this.

Watch strap and clasp

The strap is also made of ceramic and is 23mm wide which is a little bit wider than normal but I feel it fits in well enough with the case sizing. What I like most about the strap is how they’ve decided to go for a hidden deployment clasp which are one of my favourite styles of clasp.

Conclusion

I did enjoy taking a look at this watch as it’s my first ceramic watch to check out in a while. It does offer pretty good value for money when compared with some of the other Armani watches, especially considering this is a ceramic watch rather than stainless steel.
